I am a watch enthusiast and maker that likes to share my thoughts and projects. As for credentials, I have a doctorate in computing, not horology. Member NAWCC. Watch on YouTube!
When you find yourself with some down time, having good books around is important. As a watch enthusiast, I like books about horology, but I also appreciate history, science, engineering, and other related topics. Here are books I recommend to fellow enthusiasts.
The books for watch enthusiasts I have read and recommend are not typical titles you will find on other watch sites. I like these books for their balance of storytelling, entertainment, detail, pace, pictures, and historical value.
If you are looking for an e-book that is to the point and specifically about how mechanical watches work, then take a look at Eternal Springs.
Something else worth having on the coffee table for entertainment and learning is the Horology Deck. A successful Kickstarter with three deck variants, these playing cards have useful watch-related facts on the even cards for each suit. Very fun and worth picking up.
Happy reading, learning, and playing to all my followers!
