The Vario Navi Jumping Hour, is a refreshing departure from the norm in microbrand watch releases. This unique offering is also one of the most comfortable watches I have worn. In the review video, I discuss the jumping hour movement, show some other examples, introduce the Vario models including the Popeye variants, and of course I include plenty of pictures.
Here, you will find some photos and a dab of context. All the finer details are in the review video.

Pros:
Overall unique design, well thought out
Case design and comfort while wearing!
Drilled lugs
Only time a cyclops has made sense for me. Reminds me of a porthole given the maritime features.
The design of this watch was really well thought out. From the waves on the dial to the sailor hat crown, the watch embraces the sailor theme. It really is the only time I have found a cyclops lens to be the right choice, functionally and aesthetically. I love the hand styles and colors, along with the uncluttered dial layout.
Seeing a microbrand taking a chance and not doing the same old thing…DIVER DIVER DIVER…is encouraging. The Navi and Popeye watches have an appeal because they deviate from the normal design and movement choices.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for something out of the norm, extremely comfortable to wear, and are a fan of sailing themed watches or Popeye, then consider the Vario Navi. Seriously, the case and specifically the lug design is wonderful.
In a follow-up video I will discuss how the jumping hour movement actually works under the hood.
